This is really an interesting
story, when s boy left his bike chained to a tree when he went away to war in
1914. Unfortunately he never returned, leaving the tree no choice but to grow
around the bike. As some peoples pointed out, the bicycle was in fact left
behind in the mid of 1950s by a local resident who basically abandoned it. Amusingly,
“the tree that ate a bicycle” on Washington’s Vashon Island has even inspired a
Berkeley Breadthed’s 1994 book, Red Ranger Came Calling.

Amazing Giant Tortoise is Alive over 170 years
Perhaps you may not believe it by
looking a giant tortoise (Name Jonathan) alive from over 170 years. It is
believed, Jonathan tortoise was born in the early 1830’s. There’re few
photographs available when he was adult in 1902. These images give the idea of
his age, approximately 50 years old, when the images were captures. Well, it is
obviously giant tortoise isn’t active as he once was. Similarly weak as human
being gets aged, as time has caught up with him.
The giant tortoise has cataracts
in both eyes that have caused him to go blind, and his poor sense of smell that
doesn’t allow much for grazing. Therefore, his hand-fed once a week, and the
rest of the time he enjoys a peaceful life at the idyllic-looking. Plantation
House located on the small, remote British island of St. Helena, where Jonathan
tortoise shares the land with St. Helena’s governor. Yes, it is true that world
has changed a lot since Jonathan’s birth, probably he might not be aware of
changing world. But it is amazing that this turtle has lived through so much
history. And the fact that he’s still able to have a relatively happy existence
after so long is significant.
A Unique Sight of Double Tree Growing in Piemonte Italy
A tree growing atop another tree,
it’s not a sight that you get to see every day, but here you can know about a unique
tree is growing in between Grana and Casorzo in Piemonte, Italy, recognized as
the “double tree of Casorzo” or Bialbero de Casorzo in Italian. This is a mulberry tree on top of which a
cherry tree grows rises well above the mulberry tree on which it stands. The odd
tree is also recognized as Grana Double Tree. No one exactly knows for the
exact reasons how this is happened; perhaps various bird dropped a seed on top
of the mulberry tree, which then grew roots through the hollow trunk of the
host tree to reach the soil.
Though trees growing
parasitically over another tree are not rare, but they usually do not reach the
size and lifespan as seen in this specific example, as there is not adequate
humus and space available where they grow. Large “double-trees”, also called
Epiphytes, like the Bialbero de Casorzo is a rarity. Both trees combined together
make for an inspiring sight, with their branches spreading 5 meters across. The
double tree’s lifespan has been astonishingly long, given the detail that the
cherry tree receives all its nourishment via the mulberry tree. Well, though
not the only double-tree is probably the most impressive-looking trees in the
world. Both trees are thriving from the same source of nutrients, and yet they
are able to share very well.

Hachiko Dog
The last photo ever taken of Hachikō, the dog who
waited for 9 years after the death of his master outside the train
station every morning until he himself passed away in 1920s. That's why dogs are best friends and they're more loyal than humans. It's really sad, but love the respect to him. Something to be learned about love and loyalty in this story I have seen
the movie it is wonderful but you can't watch it without crying. That was the most beautiful, moving story, his complete and utter
loyalty and devotion, day, month, year in and out, waiting patiently for
his beloved master. I am sure you be in tearing after reading his story.

Japanese Artist Launches Flowers into Space
Makoto Azuma (A Tokyo based)
artist launched his latest project title “Exobiotanica” teamed with
Sacramento-based JP Aerospace a
volunteer based organization that constructs and sends vessels into orbit, to unveiling
a Japanese white pine bonsai and an arrangement of flowers into the
stratosphere. They’ve used Styrofoam and a very light metal frame, which created
two devices to attach the 50 year old bonsai and the flowers, which were then
launch distinctly using Helium balloons. Makoto Azuma attached digital cameras
and 6 Go Pro video cameras tied in a ball to record the trip into the
stratosphere.
He said; I wanted to see the
movement and beauty of plants and flowers suspended in space,” Azuma later
explained T Magazine. After both pieces went up, Azuma embraced his team warmly
and smiled. Because I have always in sought
of to travel to space and I must say that this is my dream which have come
true. The bonsai soared to 91,800 feet until the helium balloon burst, while
the flower arrangement rose to 87,000 feet. However; both devices were well
retrieved approximately 5 miles from the launch site, but the plants were never
found.

Great Monsters of the Deep Sea
A monster abruptly ascends from
the sea, snatches the boat, and drags the sailors down to a watery grave. This
story line provides the plot for legends that have persisted through the ages.
But do monsters that large actually exist? In 2007 a colossal squid was by
chance caught by fishermen in the Ross Sea off Antarctica. It was almost 33
feet long, including its tentacles, and it weighed over 500 kg, (1,000 pounds
approximately). Researchers believe that this species of squid can grow even
larger. An identical sea monster recognized
as the giant squid has a torpedo-shaped body, eyes that can be as big as a
human head, a parrot like beak strong enough to cut a steel cable, eight arms
with rows of suckers, and two long tentacles that bring food to its mouth. It
can propel itself through the water at 20 miles an hour and even launch itself
into the air. Less than 50 sightings of such giants have been informed in the
last century, and these creatures have never been studied in the wild.
Gigantic Whales of the Sea
Colossal and giant squids,
however, are just a meal for an even larger animal, the sperm whale, which can
grow to about 60 feet in length and weigh as much as 50 tons. One tooth alone
weighs two pounds! Dead sperm whales have been found with portions of giant
squid in their stomach. These whales also had circular scars from squid suckers
on their massive, blunt heads, showing that the squid put up a hard fight. In
1965 the crew of a Soviet whaleboat claimed to have seen a battle among a giant
squid and a 40-ton sperm whale. Neither survived the strangled whale was found
afloat in the sea, with the head of the squid in its stomach. Enormous indeed
are the massive squid and the sperm whale, yet the blue whale, the largest
mammal, surpasses them in size. The longest blue whale on record was a 108-foot
adult female caught in Antarctica. The blue whale might weigh as much as 150
tons. The weight of its tongue alone is equivalent to that of an adult
elephant! And just visualize it gives birth to a three-ton calf that is 23 to
27 feet long, hunted by whalers, the blue whale became almost extinct by the
1960’s and nowadays is classified as a critically endangered species.
The Ferocious and the Gentle
With its 3,000 formidable teeth,
the giant white shark is maybe the scariest carnivorous fish. The biggest great
white on record was 23 feet long and weighed 7,000 pounds. This shark has an astonishing
sense of smell, being capable to detect one drop of blood diluted in 25 gallons
of water. The whale shark is the biggest of living fish, averaging some 25 feet
in length. Though, some can reach closely twice that size. Its mouth can be up
to 4 feet wide, with no trouble to capable of swallowing a man. But far from
being a fierce predator of other large sea creatures, this gentle giant feeds
on tiny plankton and small fish. The whale shark’s uncommon digestive anatomy,
reported in National Geographic magazine, lends itself to Jonah stories,”
referring to the Biblical/Quran Majeed incident about the prophet Hazrat Younis
(A.S) being swallowed by a great fish. Whale sharks have “a peaceful way of
getting rid of large objects of uncertain digestibility they swallow accidental.
