Creative Artist Uses Natural Landscapes to color in Cutout Silhouettes of Animals

Artist Nikolai Tolsty considerately joins forces with Mother Nature to create artwork displaying an all-natural twist. Tolsty has using paper as his main medium of choice; the artist carves out a beautiful sleek animal silhouette on apiece sheet and carryon to photo the said cutout, superimposed on the world around him. Tolsty brings his sophisticated outlines into the natural world, where he searches for an authentic and visually engaging background. Among dewdrop-covered grass, tree trunks worn with rustic lines, brightly bold flower petals, and recently fallen autumn leaves, the artist has a lot of options to select from. Therefore, every image in this ongoing photo project settles on a section of scenery that compliments his latest paper creature.

Hence, a giraffe's spots are mimicked by blossoming yellow buds, though thin brown leaves serve as a tiger's stripes. In actual fact, nature is used to color in the artist's two-dimensional zoo. Tolsty's work also demonstrates the power of contrast. The sharp lines of the paper silhouettes complement the lush textures of the environment, enhancing the essence of the artist's vision. In the end, Tolsty's simple project purposes to capture the many shapes and forms of beauty that unceasingly occupies the world around us.

Dazzlingly Patterned Jewelry Creates from Layers of Cut Colored Pencils

A talented designer Anna ÄŒurlejová of Carbickova transforms colored pencils into fanciful brooches, necklaces, and earrings. Czech Republic-based jewelry designer does this by mixing different parts of the pencils to create dazzling, colorful layers at the ends, however, when halved, she produce a honeycomb-like pattern; and splitting the color pencils lengthwise makes a striped effect. Therefore, the elements are arranged in sections, and one piece of jewelry will repeatedly comprise multiple motifs. Once the design is finalized, ÄŒurlejová put on a transparent lacquer to the overall form, which sets it into place and gives it a lustrous sheen. Thus, ÄŒurlejová presently sells her colorful creations through her Etsy shop.        Source: My Modernmet     &    CP

Bigelow Ranch: The Strangest Place on Earth

Bigelow Ranch is probably strangest place on earth, previously recognized as “Skinwalker Ranch”, “Gorman Ranch”, “Haunted Ranch”, and “Sherman Ranch”. It’s a mysterious place, where something different happens since 1950’s. Bigelow Ranch is located in west Uintah County bordering the Ute Indian Reservation, is 480 acre property in northwest Utah that is home to myriad UFO sighting, animal mutilations and other strange occurrences. There have been so many haunted locations from Stonehenge to the Tower of London to the Bridge over River Kwai in Thailand, but never have been to a location that has a lot of stories of paranormal phenomenon. There have been to countries that have rare paranormal phenomenon like Honduras, Belize, El Salvador, Panama, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, but for some reason the stories from Skinwalker Ranch will stay in my mind.

There’re number of bizarre stories happened to a pair of ranchers named Terry and Gwen Sherman after they bought it in 1994. The first day, when they moved to their property, they saw a large wolf out in pasture. They even went to pet wolf as it seemed tame, and it was docile with the “Shermans”, but ended up grabbing a calf by the snout through the bars of its enclosure. However, Terry grabbed his pistol and shot at the wolf, amazingly the bullets had no effect. It lastly left after Terry brought out the shotgun, though even that didn’t do any real damage. The “Shermans” tried tracking the wolf, but its tracks stopped sharply as if it had vanished. Hence, this wasn’t the end of story. The “Shermans” were continually plagued by such events as UFO sightings, intellectual floating orbs including reputed to have incinerated three of their dogs, inexplicable cryptids, and gruesome cattle mutilations. It got so bad that the “Shermans” in fact sold their ranch to Robert Bigelow in 1996, the founder of the National Institute for Discovery Science, who wanted to research the secrecies surrounding the ranch. Bigelow owns the ranch to this day and NIDS keeps a tight lid on their findings. A movie, titled “Skinwalker Ranch”, was released in 2013, and is very loosely based on the folklore behind the ranch. Terry Sherman claimed to have actually seen aliens come out of one UFO. Because it was a human type, more than 7 ft tall, decked out in a fully black uniform and very giant, very heavyset.

The Bigelow ranch has a rich history because of the Native Americans that inhabited the region and passed down the tales of what they saw. Therefore a family owned the ranch at one time and had investigators come in to support them because they were being anguished by poltergeists, shape shifters, and other forms of paranormal harassment. Due to this family has left the ranch, and then Robert Bigelow set up shop there for unidentified reasons. Bigelow is a famous name because he started the National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS) which finally transformed into Bigelow Aerospace (BAASS) which makes low Earth orbiting inflatable structures. Well, there’re so many of the weird phenomena at the ranch were detailed in the book Hunt for the Skinwalker by Colm Kelleher and George Knapp.
